Does this INTJ crush show interest or am I overthinking?

I (INFJ) have a long-standing crush on an INTJ I met through alumni/scholarship events. Timeline in short:

*Followed each other on social media, he occasionally liked my posts, rarely viewed my stories.

*First event (Feb): we barely interacted but he hugged me as a greeting — felt significant. Didn't even get to introduce ourselves properly, I just knew of him through mutual friends. That night, he added me on LinkedIn (within an hour after the event).

*Second event (Nov): same space, tried to make eye contact and smile, but he didn’t acknowledge me. Minimal interaction. I got busy because it was a networking event, but I really wanted to converse with him to see if we could connect.

*Social media: mostly active on LinkedIn, reactivated IG recently but no meaningful engagement.

I know INTJs are deliberate and cautious, but I’m confused — is he interested or am I reading too much into subtle cues? - tiredgeneral



From a pragmatic standpoint, I'd say you're underthinking by dwelling on arbitrary cues and what-ifs. Your thoughts should lead you to some kind of conclusionary point of planned action or inaction. Seek clarity, not interpretations based in assumption.

My Diva Moment

 I like to have a tidy and orderly house and we let it go a little due to ongoing construction. Yesterday, my husband was out of town and I spent the evening cleaning. At the end of the day, I walked around the house looking at my work, acting like a sassy voguing queer than I am, congratulating myself for work well done, approving of how the blankets are folded and pillows arranged. All while striking poses. When I caught myself during the act, I chuckled and decided to pull the footage from our security cameras to send to my husband as an example of how ridiculously I act when alone. I reviewed the footage and in the video I literally do NOTHING of sorts! No poses! No gestures! I just walk back and forth and glance at things. What makes [an] INTJ fall in love with a woman?

  My boyfriend (21 INTJ) has become more affectionate ever since our deep talk last night. He was extremely surprised by my ability to read people, including himself (I'm an ENFJ). He said something like "damn you really know me, I think I made a really good decision dating you" (we've been dating for 2 months).
